What it is
1.1 The Referencer is an online referencer containing observations of the Courts / references from Commentaries explaining:
- various principles of interpretation of statute / natural justice, etc.;
- principles of interpretation of documents / agreements; and
- meaning of various maxims, including Latin maxims.
1.2 The Referencer covers more than 750 topics with approximately 5000 entries, including more than 3500 from Supreme Court.
1.3 The Referencer is not exhaustive and is not a substitute for a book on interpretation. The user is expected to have some background of principles of interpretation.
1.4 The Referencer helps the user in a very quick retrieval of observations from various cases on a particular principle.
1.5 An index of the topics is given to help the user to acquaint with the contents of the Referencer.
1.6 The Referencer is regularly updated covering more topics / entries.
